Today we take a closer look at the works of Anish Kapoor, who today is celebrating his 60th birthday!
Kapoor’s resume is impressive to say the least from the work he has contributed to the awards he has received. His sculptures are usually site-specific installations -- so large that they test the boundaries of space, almost creating an environment in which the audience can interact with. Kapoor’s most notable work includes Cloud Gate in Chicago's Millennium Park; Sky Mirror, exhibited at the Rockefeller Center in New York City in 2006 and ArcelorMittal Orbit created in 2012 for the London Olympic games.
He has an upcoming solo show at the Palace of Versailles and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
