Nestled in the heart of Aspen, Limelight Hotel offers 126 guest rooms and suites with a modern aesthetic that embodies the spirit of Aspen itself. Eaton Fine Art collaborated with ownership and its brands for the curation of a thought-provoking, museum-like art collection to engage guests and locals alike.

For the guest rooms, Eaton Fine Art collaborated with several artists to conceive a unique, yet simplistic, art collection. This includes the mixed media art series titled, “Rivers Feed the Trees” by Meredith Nemirov, a Colorado-based artist, which addresses issues of climate change, a series of hand-pulled screen prints to embody the nature found throughout the region and expertly crafted hand-folded geometric paper sculptures, reminiscent of the surrounding mountains.

In the public spaces, the art collection transitions away from a locally inspired experience to an expansive perspective. A few pieces from the collection include a Robert Rauschenberg signed print titled “Earth Day, 1990”, which adorns a wall in the lounge. Selected for his messaging and importance about the environment, this piece also represents Rauschenberg’s importance early in his career as an openly gay artist and his inclusion as a renowned artist of the 20th century. Continuing through Limelight Hotel Aspen, works from Scott Reeder and UK-based David Shrigley, both of which have a sense of levity and humor about them, creatively use text to engage with the viewer. Moving into the communal spaces, a pair of prints from Brooklyn-based and internationally renowned artist Derrick Adams draws inspiration from pop culture’s depiction of contemporary Black Americans and their communities.
